RIP Melvin Bliss. This is one of the most sampled drum breaks in the world. This is the UBB version (looped intro) and I do not own this 45, but here it is anyway.
Melvin Bliss - Synthetic Substitution
1989 Hip Hop on the 4th & Broadway label. Samples "Bring It Here" by Wild Sugar which is also sampled by someone else who you surely can figure it out real quick like.
My favorite 2 songs by the Los Angeles based MC, Medusa. These are off her first EP, Do It The Way You Feel. When I got this I had no idea who she was or anything. I just picked up everything that resembled underground Hip Hop in the late 90's. I did good. She played here in KC this past weekend. I did not attend. FAIL.
Here's a quick and simple edit of Average White Band's "Stop The Rain". If you don't know what song to play it with, get off my blog. R.I.P. GURU.
Short edit that I pitched down and looped at the end to play 'They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)' out of this.
Here's an edit of the Menahan Street Band's "Make The Road By Walking" to play along with Jay-Z's "Roc Boys" pitched up and looped for you. You're welcome.
